Top Chef has become one of my favorite shows this last year. Thanks to moving into my own apartment with no one to talk to but my dogs... and Bravo and all of their marathons! Season 7 was actually the first season I watched as "first-run" episodes and from the begining, Angelo was easily my pick to win. The finale was a huge upset for me and I truly felt that Angelo would have won had it not been for his illness. His Sous Chef was another of my favorites... Hung. LOVED him as well in his season.
All-Stars is tough. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had a hard time with all these great chefs from different seasons watching favorites from each season now competing against each other. Fabio is a sweetheart and how can anyone NOT be in love with this guy?? ESPECIALLY after last week and his comments about the turtles in the grocery store and his pet turtle!! I love Marcel, even though he is cocky and arrogant.... there was always something about him. Mike Isabella was never high on my list during his season, however, he has really grown on me. So last week when he won the Quickfire Challenge and won the car... it was pretty cool. But for the record..... I really do hope Angelo is Top Chef at the end of this!!
Can't wait to see what happens tonight! And I LOVE reading the blogs the next morning from Tom Colicchio and Anthony Bourdain!
Ok, FINALLY!!!! Jamie packed her knives and went home!! I was not surprised by her lack of flavor cooking the fish. I was surprised by Tiffany going home though. Didn't expect that. I was worried for Fabio for a split second because he didn't contribute to the planning of the boys failed dish.
ReplyDeleteI was finally able to sleep last night though! I'll have more thoughts in a bit. Just woke up and the dogs really don't care about Top Chef at the moment. It's more like...FEED ME!!!
